Ah Dou, 25th bday liao hor, so fast the years past still remember when you were still in SAJC uniform and i'd go over to visit the bunch of you...and sun-bian went to traumatise all my previous teachers...whahaha...

Will always remember good times in the cg and of course, our crazy msn game times! LOL...when we stopped there was a drought! not many people play neh..hahaha...we played until so late, but they were so addictive...and we tormented ourselves because it was SO STRESSFUL and we're supposed to relax..hahaha..

We played msn Minesweeper until can 'read' real fast then we bullied Ah Yin remember...hahaha..of course we also had Solitaire Showdown...and you'll keep playing till the winning ratios were in your favour! Hoi! =P the most recent is Sudoku Too...God...we torture ourselves playing that game man...haha...i barely blink in the midst of the game!..and no joke lor...2-3am strategising and looking for the numbers...hahaha...i always think God must be thinking his two daughters nothing better to do after a long day of work! hee...

Thanks for being a loving and supportive Beanie all these years! *hugz*...not easy to be in touch with all the movement and changes...but just want you to know, Toadie is always a call/ msn msg away! hee...of course, I'll still charge my standard S$10/consultation (exc. GST)...hahaha...for frens like you I always good one neh...i don't charge GST!..hahaha..=D In addition, after all these years, I never increase price even though got inflation leh! hahaha...see i so good to you!/...=P

LOL, back to serious stuff - I pray for an extremely blessed year ahead with His provision and guidance. New and exciting things are ahead for you! And I pray you'll find happiness and purpose in your new job! Amen!

Croaks...

I've been thinking of blogging this...but was hoping it'd simmer down and I'd soon forget and throw it in God's 'No fishing' lake...however, looks like it may not be the case...haiz...what to do...

There's an ongoing saga between my org and another...though it reared its ugly head a little a few months back, it only really escalated since July, reached a sort of plateau in August...then hit a super peak in end Aug and September ...especially over the past 2 weeks to what my boss hates the most - politicking.

It is sad to know that it has come to certain terms, attitudes and behaviors. I for one believed -- yes...me of little faith believed that it only needed time for some to mature 'abeeeet' more, open their eyes and see things as they are, accept it and move on. But really,...sigh..God...really...it takes all sorts to make the world huh?...haha...

Well, not like saying i knew them super well to have that level of faith in them...but yes, it's me...too willing to give others a shot to change..haiz...i don't regret having given that shot (everything has a risk)...but i just think that they didn't have to make things any harder...

For you readers out there who are clueless, I'm sorry i can't give more. BUT...in a nutshell, it's about taking things personally and not being professional about it - between orgs, and i just gotta rant it here.

To me the frustrating thing is that due to these behaviors, it has affected my colleagues in one way or another, with the devil messing with things and making them shovel a form of blame upon themselves that as much as it makes sense, it must never be justified. And i will standby and believe in that.

It all evolved from sadness to disappointment..we had to stand firm...but for those of you who know me...all my life...if you come and provoke me unreasonably with no justification... I will stand up and confront you. (I will dislike it coz its not in my nature)...but I hate bullies to the core!!! Especially when you bully others in front of me!....*Growl*...Just ask all the bullies that have crossed my path in my lifetime..LOL!

In my over 3 years, i appreciate the relationship my org had with this org and it is true - much came from this relationship and we wouldn't' be where we are today. But yes, here is another thing i detest...people taking something and lording it over others! *rolls eyes*...kids...

Well, things have evolved to a point where damage has been done to the extent where you can't revert to it's original form. Well,..they went to do a crazy thing of shooting themselves in the foot and putting it in black and white!! ...*good grief*....

I never took a 'it's-us-against-them' stance, as i mentioned earlier, i hoped and believed they would move on...but they reached a stage of coming to threaten the things i believe should be defended...i will defend!

They have left my boss and colleagues, confused, tired, frustrated and disappointed, with energies wasted debating and justifying.

Honestly, I could take a step back since really...this doesn't fully involve me...but no I won't.., I'm not being a martyr...but having been here for these years, i appreciate that if we go through crap...we go through it together...you can't duck the crap completely. it will come around one way or another and hit you.

We may being going through our separate craps at times...but at least we're working on it! LOL!

So where was I?...see lah...talk about crap and I get all distracted...hahahaha...=P my boss will use 'shit'..haha..

Ah yes...bullies, lording over, shooting self in the foot and crap...LOL! There's not much more to add but wait and see...but in summary....

Never try to hurt those I love....push me over the edge and you'll see a side of me that I dare not even acknowledge...most times I will choose not to retaliate or fight. But you'll never find them standing alone...or going through it alone...

In fact, you'll just find me meticulously shovelling up the crap you threw, into a nice box and I will personally ensure it gets sent back to you nicely packaged and attached with a note. (Probably with a huge smiley face from yours truly.)... HAH!

Depression turned Paranoia....

There are spies... I repeat....there are spies in our midst....

Ever since i blogged my Ben and Jerry's post, the price has risen from $12.50 to $13.50 to a new high of $13.90!! ...*sigh*....Someone is plotting against me!!!! hahaha...

Initially I was bogged by it as i stood in front of that fridge digesting the new price...mmm...I presume OIL PRICES have something to do with it too huh?!....everything is linked back to oil prices!!...LOL!...i heard in sentosa it costs $17 a pint!

I have yet to attack Beanie's gift of One Cheesecake Brownie in the office...sooon sooon...there will be a time...*slurp*

But my home stock has been wiped out for over a week! It was time for a recce to Cold Storage...Ahhhh...they had the two for $20.50 offer...well, at least for now they didn't increase that price!

Two means it's phish food and fossil fuel....there were 4 pints of phish food...a gazilion turtle soups and chocolate...and a handful of others....but but....NO FOSSIL FUEL!!!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!....dilemma...will i go back to S'mores or Choc chip cookie Dough?...just to take advantage of the offer?

So i took a phish food and a choc chip cookie dough...but deep in me, i jsut couldn't give up without a real hunt..heheheehhe....

there was not much room to move the pints around in the fridge...but i did alot of peeking around the corners....and then....

THERE IT WAS!!!!....I spotted the 'F' first....then tip-toeing,...I confirmed my joy!!! Yippeee!!!

As i replaced the choc chip cookie dough....I found myself sniggering with glee.."Too bad to the guy who tried to hide it there mate!"...MUAHAHAHAHA....it's mine!!! =P

i do talk alot about my ice cream huh...haha...sigh...but this was a VICTORY!!!...I am triumphant!!...ahahhaha....

=) I've finally done alittle more photo transfers from my hp to my lappie! The unfortunate thing about why it is so hard is because the transfer system hangs when i try to drag a drop a few large files...so you can imagine having to indivdually drag and drop each file...and wait for it to transfer finish!...i need a micro SD card converter...then i can just chuck it into my laptop card slot and transfer instead of hassling with the USB cable. --Next IT show is in Nov at Expo...worth getting it then..ahhaha...cheaper!

I pulled out a few random photos taken over the past month that have a story...hee...but in no particular order. =)

On my birthday, boss brought me and two colleagues out for lunch at Simei. (I'm deliberately leaving the restaurant name out.) Anyways, we ordered kopi...and you won't believe the kind cups they used for the kopi!...ah duh.... The cup on the left is so old lor...they were so popular in my sec sch years! And the Mickey cup on the right? It had a Darlie logo on it! --- YA! one of those freebies when you buy toothpaste!..hahaha....

My boss was so amused...he said it was probably the staff's personal cups..hahaha...i wondered if I just shouted out "Susan!!" would one of them turn around...LOL!...we also mused that if we ordered more kopi than the number of staff, would they go next door and borrow?..hehehehe...

To top it all off, the Kopi was Nescafe 3-in-1 Regular!!! The exact same taste as the one in my office..hahaha..Here's shots of me in the Singapore Flyer on 30th July! My junior got free tickets and wanted to bring her mum out toos (her bday)...so since i had the car, it was alot more convenient. There wasn't a crowd becasue we went on a weekday (i took time off)...

Verdict: OK LAH...worth the experience. It was more fun since it was so empty, I egged my junior to sit on the floor and do crazy poses..heck with what others think..you only live once man! Next up is my car tacho hitting his first 1000km! heee...means time to go for his first servicing! Yes, i was driving on the ECP to work when I took this! No traffic police! =P but its his milestone mah...so must take!

Yup, I've told many about how she quietly sits besides and leans against me like telling me she loves me...haha...not many can believe, because when they come to my place she gets too excited!

I was sad when I heard the news toos...coz this is the same car that ferried me to and fro work when my footie was real bad... =(

Of course its the driver that counts lah...but still...hmmm..its hard to describe the feeling...I'm a sentimental sod...

I got a lot in the office carpark next to her car - just nice! So take a pic together lor, so that Blooie will have some memories of being parked next to her too...hahaha...

Last but not least! I met my sec sch pals on 7th Sept-- Here's Hannah! Big Bad Boon's daughter (no, the lady in the pic is not her...that's Duck trying to keep the kid still for the photo..hahaha...Hannah is big to me lor...she's not even one years old till next month!

But she is very well behaved and entertains herself while the old hags gather and catch up!! hahaha...Well done to Alex and Bad Boon!

Pressies!! -- Round one...

Sorry can't showcase all now, coz the work ones aren't taken yet! Too busy at work to take good pics of them...sad ain't it?...LOL!

But let's roll out the honours for the non-work pressies first..hee...

First up is the Braun Buffel wallet from my CG! As i told my cgl, I need a new one (been needing one for over a year!),... but I dont' need the brand lahz....though of course, if i had a choice...this would be the brand! hahahaha...i always like poking the leather esp when i'm in the shops! hiak hiak!

Note:- it's just the wallet! the watch is not included!! =P
We bought it together, so at least I got to choose a design I like. I think this particular bull design is cool! But my cgl so cute, when it came time to pay, she said i can't watch...hahaha...reminds me of primary school..hee..

My last wallet was a pierre cardin...I've been using since 2004! Wah...quite long hor...It was a present from my hostel mates for my birthday toos! It was nice to use really, unfortunately the external leather got real bad... Anyone who had helped me hold that wallet would agree. =)

Actually, come to think of it, MY WHOLE LIFE...I'VE NEVER bought a wallet for myself!! they have always been gifts leh!! =D

Above is one for the two presents Bowl gave me. She tormented me making me guess...cows..I dont' mind guessing lah...but with that kind of clues, it could've been almost anything! LOL! Example: "We've seen it together before."; "It's from Orchard Road area."

I'm not crazy crazy about frogs lah...just that this toadie stigma follows me so i go with the flow..hee...but some toads can look real cute mah!

Met 2nd sis this saturday (been 9 months since we last met can you believe it!!?!) She gave me a small Deuter sling bag..I do have a few of these. But this one is a pretty good size! Usable! =)

i kinda thought to myself...so many German gifts in this birthday...haha...Braun Buffel, Deuter...

Lastly for this post, my big sis....i think she was at a loss what to get me..hahaha...She got me this dog LED light/keychain...=) Its very heavy and chunky though!!...hmm...I think i'll leave it in my car as a flash light...but cute lah...my dog wagged her tail when i showed it to her...she probably thought it was food -- maybe a McNugget!! hahaha...

Because you all spent a few mins of your life to do it...hee...

it's very late considering the important events later today. But just wanna pop in and give thanks for the wonderful work-frens and frens I have...=)

One day

My dog barked endlessly to wake me up at 11.58pm. Yes, from my last post, obviously it doesn't work...i just can't nap in the evenings these days...haiz...maybe i should programme my dog to bark endlessly instead of the mobile phone alarm that has the snooze button. My dog has no snooze button. hehe...

Just as well then, coz Ge was the first to call and wish me at 12mn...as i was still sorting my thoughts out on - what time, what day and what in the world was my name again?! - thoughts, which explains my dazed answers to her...haha..Thanks girl, you're the schweetest lahz...

After showering I had a chat with Beanie. Thanks for the One cheesecake brownie delivery today! LOL! Just nice, i finished the last of my stock yesterday...sigh..the price went up again hor..from $12.50 per pint to $13.50 now...*sadness*

The time now is ...manz...4.53am...this is bad, i'll die later today i tell you...hahaha..then again maybe not, coz its 911...*grinz* and i've still got that insane streak of energy in me when it comes to having time out and fun.

I was working again earlier, trying to do some stuff so that i can focus on other things later today. Writing cheques again...I know, i complain about, but seriously, it can be fun on a good day. =)...today i was quite immune, and remembered the times when i only wrote one per month and now its 10...hoe time flies..

I'm getting more tired these days at work. Frankly I feel as though i'm doing so much less??...but dunno why so tired also...maybe i'm losing sight of things...need time to access...

Friday is my AGM. Four AGMs...woohoo...that's a long time..sigh..ok..now i'm sleepy.

Ingredients: Popeye's Mash potato, soya sauce, cut green and red chilli, tomato sauce, vinegar and a 'whole lotta sisterly love', blended on a paper plate.

Adrian had to work for his present! LOL!

He had 1minute to eat a whole spoonful of Jean's creation (see right hand) and finish the Mr bean soya ice cream (see left hand)... he took 25mins! to the chargrin of many...especially Anna who constantly repeated: "Adrian! ...Can eat faster or not?"

(see left hand) We took an empty mobile phone box and put lavender scented mosquito coils inside PLUS a packet of Salonpas plasters for body aches and pains -- USEFUL right?!...We gave TWO diff presents leh...he should feel privildged!! =P

AND BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH -- we bought him another box of mosquito coils (see right hand)...yes, lavender scented again. We want him to be calm in camp!

(inside the mosquito coil box was the motorola mobile phone lahz...hahaha...no camera type -- confirm useful for army! Duh!...THAT was the real present...haha)

Ok ok...you've seen it on my msn nick off and on for the past 3...Oh my God...FOUR years!! its either I'm strangling, hate, tak-boh leh tahan, serving, or chasing them...they are none other than my infamous AUDITORS. *cheesy impact tune*

They come packaged with my annual AGM nightmare toos!!...sighz...

Yun, i apologise i forgot to msg u happooo booodeee neh...I did remember and was going to sms...when i got a phone call from the - you guessed it- auditors that just threw me off track!

now dont' get me wrong, this manager i've been working with is very efficient and i'm very happy with her on my other projects...but still...i thought i could avoid the annual nitemare..ahhaha

You see...in advance (like mid June), i had given the manager my timeline, since i need the hardcopies to be signed (takes alot of coordination on my end...my signatories are not in the office kind.) They invaded my office for the final week of July. (as you would have seen in my prev post that i was losing my voice!..haha..)...and for the month of August, off and on, I'd ask if there was any issues major time!

Come the final week of august, I wrote to the manager and asked if it was possible to get the hardcopy earlier - my time line to her was 1 sept latest because i need to send it for printing. but no harm asking for it earlier right? more time to action...She replied she couldn't make it earlier, but relieved and assured that i'm still ok with my 1 sept deadline. In fact I moved it to 3 Sept my final date..which was just nice coz the partner was overseas and only back on tues (i.e. 2nd Sept)

then on Monday 1 sept, i made a pitch, if it was possible to get the hardcopy for my president to sign by Wed morning. (since i'm meeting my prez for lunch mah...kill two bird with one stone and i can sleep more peacefully earlier)...she replied no possible and hopes i understand..earliest she can give me the hardcopy is wed afternoon or thurs morning...I WAS FINE with it..=) and assured her its not a prob, just wanted to find out..=)

so what would you conclude from this? EVERYTHG OK RITE?

so today, i dropped her another e-mail asking for the softcopy version for my printing first..the hardcopy can be according to her dates.

I got this phone call from the auditor (not the manager lah) ...asking me like tons of questions, can scan and send this and that...got question on some fixed capital thg etc...and i'm like..!??!!?!?..intially i was quite calm...hearing the one or two questions...by the time it was the 7th question..my head started to hurt...

With my eyes closed and an intense frown on my face, I leaned into the phone receiver and asked the auditor..."What happened...i thought everything ok??.." sigh...this girl who did the audit job at my place, i'm quite ok with her...she was sorry...i know she's doing her job..and she has tons of other jobs...so...after that..i just said i'd do what i can...=S

That was at 250pm. ...and i learned that if some thgs weren't done, i won't get my report! rarrrr...how can that be?!!!?!?...

Sigh, because one of the things were important and i have no idea how it got lost..but watever the case, i had to action asap...so even tho i had a meeting at 3pm, i zipped off to hunt down my signatories whoever was ard!...(thank god for my baby car manz!)

now tomorrow i need to go pick up the docs and deliver by hand somewhere else to save time!

*rolls eyes*...

My accountant best, I pre-empted her that the auditor was gg to call..she replied. " I thought settled liao?"...my response: " I THOT SO TOOZ!"....hahahah....when the auditor contacted her, she couldn't' believe the questions they were asking at this 11th hour!..hahaha...

Spent the nite in the office till like..1130 with my accountant..tired manz...we did month closing of course, and with new staff comes new errors...which i understand...just had to spend the time retracing with my accountant on - where, how and why. I still have one puzzle outstanding...$2,170...where did it come from! LOL! So familiar...yet...

oh, and of course...gathering documentation for the auditor...

Anyways, i'm spent ranting...hahaha...ya lor..talk until no energy!

oh well..i'm off to bed, I promised Ge that i'll try to sleep by 1.30am...it'll take some time to zzzzzzzz....too awake..and the #*(&^##*&#( audit info gathering took up my nite...RAARRR...

*buries face*...Gawwwd...we so need your grace in my org...we're overwhelmed...just need to know...you're there and holding our hands and guiding...and keeping us safe coz you know wat is ahead.
