stressed brain ranting again...

I am so stressed my thoughts are at a standstill these days. ARGH!!! It's as though i physcially have to make the effort to block out the pressures caving in my mind...haiz...

I miss Uni days...still do..CERTAIN PARTS. haha...quickly put the disclaimer. =)

But yes, somethings back then were good times when you look back now. So much hope, so much promise, so much could happen ahead....so many unknowns...so much to believe in and so much we hung on to.

It isn't so bad now really...=) things could be a lot worse. hee...still thankful for what I have now.

But really, after working even in one org for a few years. All we ever learned in our schooling youth...out here...some ball games are different. =)

God help me keep my hopes up and to look forward to what is ahead!

Ok, i'm just bit tired...tomorrow is a public holiday...my stomach is still burning from th curry at dinner and it's very uncomfortable..so am awake and entertaining myself.

The REAL colour of the car!

Hi guys...seems like the real colour of my car is on the pic on the right side now!..haha...aiyah...I didnt' expect the brochure to be so zun! seems that the previous picture i put was the sport version for the honda fit.

ANYWAY...i realised this was truly the colour when my boss drove past a parked version of it at Eunos MRT car park! Man...it was a bright blue!!...OK OK...it will grow on me...besides..it's really a unique blue -- and that was what i was looking for toos. =) Thank God it wasn't like the Comfort cab blue...i will die k...people flagging down my car...hahaha...=) maybe hor...then i can charge them..starting $3.00 now leh!! good $$ to make on the side!

Actually there is a blue i really like...but yet to find a car that manufactures it...oh wells..that would really be the dream car colour!

I walked ard that parked car to peek into it! Next to it was a red version! so qiao!...so i got to compare them...red getting common lah....but seriously...ONE thing i have to agree with my boss...i'll never have a problem finding my car in a car park! hahaha...

Today read the newspaper that Kah Motors (the sole agent for Honda in Singapore) has 'released' the new Jazz 2008 for booking..but actual delivery at the end of the year....Hmmmm.....one thing...I can't take it!!!....there are some Specs that are better than my FIT! ...ROOOOAARRRRR!!!!! =(

Not only that...the price leh!!! It seems to be LOWER! GRRRR....not that much diff lah...but to get from agent has some advantages in the case for warranty...hmmm....BUT...it also depends on the kind of financial rates that the agent forces u to take -- the eventual price may actually be bad.. (ie. my experience with the mazda side what they publish..is the low low rate...but...lotsa conditions on the side by whcih eventually u pay a higher price in the long run.)

Those who are not familiar with cars amy be wondering what i'm talking about...you see...the Honda Fit = Honda Jazz....Yep!....the different names it's because in Japan they call it Fit and when they export, to countries like the Little Red Dot, they call it a jazz...there is NOT supposed to be any major differences lor....but it seems this round the Fit =/= Jazz...unlike the earlier versions...

thus when you see a Fit on the road..it is an import. (like mine)....=)

OK OK... i shall erase from memory..just spent the past hour reading forums about people making the comparision, and checking out the car webpages...to find out exactly the difference...=)

aiyah..won't die one lah...life is not about regrets. Technology is always improving...a year from now, whether it is a jazz of my fit...we'll both be obsolete!..hahaha... I'm still happy. =)

Just that maybe gotta spend some $$ improving some peripherals. =)

Oh, i got to ride in my bosses new car too..barely 2 days old...the one he bought for his wife (previously was an Alfa romeo). The new Opel Astra...it's a convertible leh!...cool!...=) too bad that day raining, else can try out!...but we're all saying next day we'll head to the airport runway road and test it out! (next to our office only mah!)...woohooo!!!

His kids called it a transformer! and were making a hooha of it during the family ride it seems...hahaha...kids are cute...LOL!

so what have i been up to?

The weeks feel like they fly by, I used to log on my blog daily and stare at the screen to ask myself if I feel liek adding a post! These days, i even forget to log in! =)

No prizes for guessing what I've been busy with. But I'm alright, just need to enlarge and depend on God for it all. Perpetually tired now and past two days I have problems sleeping till about 6am. =( Not good for the next day.

Anyway, following up from my last post, as announced to some cellgroups and friends, I've committed to get my car. Yep! Signed on the dotted line and it's a Honda Fit 2008 - the new one. I've gone for the sky blue colour.

I see some eyes rolling.."What, that car?!...but so common...it doesn't look that cool..."....

Honestly, those were the factors that i thought about. However, practical reasons swam in my mind for many weeks. As much as I like the mazda 2...i just didn't like sitting in it and couldnt' imagine spending more than 3 hours in there, let alone try to fit my friends into that space. hahaha...

there were other cheaper options with a higher 1.6L engine (mine is a 1.3L) like the mitsubishi lancer...but...hmm...fuel effiiciency...the fit beats all other cars, unless they are hybrid cars..

Whatever it is, i decided, one thing is going to increase for sure is fuel prices. So to arrest that issue from the start is key. =)

Anyway, no point going round and round, the choice is made and I am still ahppy about it thank god! Not suffering from any buyer's remorse YET...let's see how it goes when the car comes --- June Delivery!

I just went to look at the COE prices. man they dropped low this month! to $11,009!! that is really very very low. But I'm ok lah,...getting low COE also means in the long run your COE rebates are lower especially if you want to change your car later. =)

I'm honestly already very thankful that I secured my COE at a drop phase rather than when it was rising. exactly one month ago..COE were at a high at $16.9K...if I got the car then, I would have lost over a thousand bucks!

thank God, when i bidded for mine, it dropped to $15.6K...which is good enough as i didn't have to add more cash to meet the price. =) Gotta thank my dear friend bowl for praying for me too...i know..i was terrible..she was fasting and I said.."sun4 bian4" ah....hahahaha...I mean, we all know yeah, prayer with fasting, more power! heee...=P

Getting the car will have a strong effect on my cash flow really...Will have to be more cautious for the coming year...but all into consideration liao. I'm leaving it in to God's hands. =)

More updates when i can!...as for the small viewership that reads my blog..thanks for stopping by and updating yourself on my life...your few minutes spent reading here is much appreciated by me...=) thank you for loving me enough to give me a part of your life....

Then again...you could just be a kaypo!! hahaha....but I choose to think otherwise..hee...

Has it only been a week?

Feels like a long time since i last blogged. Yet the days in the office seem to fly by.

Boss is coming back on monday (he's been away on biz trip to Aussie), and somethings need to be up and running mah...

Tiring man....i need to take a break and a recheck on things. =S

Seem to have started working late again...feels like days jsut before airshow...NOOOOO!!!

Haiz...what to do...must think of a way man...balance balance!!! god help!

"See- mah"

My boss enjoys calling me "See -Mah" (which is the pronunciation for my new designation the past few weeks)...which ..*ahem*...i shall endeavour to protest till kingdom come!! hahaha....

I mean...it sounds horrible lor...like " See Ma (look mum), i bought a new gadget!"...or if given a singlish twang to it...you have " Si- Ma" (aka...dead mum)....

Then again maybe i can view "See-Ma" to sound like those streetfighter character names hor...like some cool jap name or something...hahaha...as you can see..i'm trying to look at things positively...as I've a feeling my boss will NOT stop!!...RAARRR!!!....

I'm not TOTALLY unhappy lah...just that...well..it's the principle of it!! it sounds horrible!..=S

so yes...battle of wills! haha...

Actually after airshow, things have haven't settled somewhat. i guess it's coz the org is growing...and this is the expected period. ie. between the tiring airshow and just as headache AGM ( in sept)....so..i know..no way..my boss will 'disturb' the Christmas period for the expansion lor...

My boss has downloaded to me my larger responsibilities..about a month ago..and now it's sinking in...coz he officially announced them on Monday!

Still my fren has joined us since monday too...=) my counterpart..hee...She is an "Ack!" and I'm a "See-Ma"...haha...i hear her protesting already...LOL! hmmm...there's something fundamentally wrong here ....we have horrible shortforms of designations! haha..

I'm glad to report that we have not gone at each other's throats yet..haha...and i pray we never will. =) We are stronger united than apart... We are learning alot together..our scopes differ...but in everything else..the same--pioneering new things and coping with the unknown...we are first timers...and yet the responsibility is there...it is indeed a great opportunity...that i believe is given by God. =) we have to grow and learn fast!

But I'm reminded of Pst Phil's message almost a month 3 weeks ago in church. it was the few days after i got some clue of my the areas i am to delve into from my boss.

It couldnt' have come at a better time...it was one statement he made.

Whatever God has called you into ....He will give you the anointing you need to make it happen and last the distance, provided you surrender to Him. You may look at yourself today and say...."OOookkkaaayy....but are you sure...i don't have the skills/ abilities to do what you have called me to do..."

But God will anoint you to last the distance. =) He is a father that loves you and will not call you or position you into something, for the sole purpose of watching you suffer what!...=) We do not see as He sees...but thankfully, God who does see..is on my side..and a promise-keeping God!..=)

Oh...i think most readers here may be wondering am i really called "See- mah"???...Yes...it is my bosses way of saying "CMA' ---*growl*....

And what does CMA mean?...hehehe...u can ask me when u next meet me! =P

Staring at the tag...

Yes...i have been tagged. And for those readers here who do not know how it happened (because you do not read my bro in christ - Shen's blog)...Tagged means i need to share 5 things most people do not know about me....

HONESTLY....that is quite hard...LOL...i mean...after so many years in CG and church...all those games of sharing something about each other, fellowship time etc...abit hard leh...=)

i thought long and hard...long and hard...then long...then forgot about the hard...HAHAHA...until Shen drop a comment on my chat box...HAHAHA...to remind me...=P

Convicted...and simply coz i love this bro of mine, i'm willing to play along..hee...so the hard became harder...producing the following products:-

1) A hotel door latch-lock in HK was once broken in because of me

When i was young, about 4 to 7 years old, my dad was often posted to Hong Kong to work. So my mum would bring me over to visit. We stayed in hotels.

If i recall from the story my mum told me when i was older, was that i was left in the hotel room because i was tired from the boring things to do in HK (kid mah...no toys no fun...also it was always the same area we visited...)..so they left me inside to watch smurfs on cable. I was to latch the door from inside to be super safe and open it when my parents got back. You know the U shape one, that slides along a ball, usually gold colour? so that even if someone has a key to open the door, it is jammed by it after a certain distance?

So yes, guess what,...i fell asleep with the TV switched on super loud! My parents came back, but couldn't come in completely. They couldn't look into the room either given that small gap...so they kept trying to call me. But i was fast asleep and the TV was loud.

So they panicked. Thought something had happened to me, like i fell down and lost consciousness, etc...so they called the hotel to break open the door latch...

After all that drama, and noise...I WAS STILL ASLEEP when they finally got in...Hahahaha...i never knew till my mum told me when i was older.

2) I was in the local papers 3 times

Two times in Lianhe Zaobao, one was a feature on people and their pets, my primary school partner was on internship there and was to do a story. So she called me if i was ok to do it. there were photos of me bathing my 'now-passed away' sausage dog and me kissing my land tortise that is still alive today..haha...think this was when i was in sec 4.

The other was just a quote on a story covering the pre-univeristy seminar in JC times.

Last was a big pic of me..in the Forum section of the straits times when i was in university. It was at the auditorium when Lee KY came to have a forum. Dunno y the photographer pick me...as a general picture. article had nothing to do with me.

3) my hair morphed

I had very very straight hair when i was young. It's the type no need to comb and it just 'wraps around my head' straight and flat.

Now...you know me lah..natural curls...and look like a rooster/ pineapple top in the morning....

4) I could have died

This one my mum told me too. I remember being admitted to hospital i think in sec 1/2 for dengue fever. I was checked in immediately after the blood test. I recall taking a nap...since there was nothing to do. After all, i was not prepared to check in, so didnt bring anything to read.

then i recall waking up periodically,...but couldn't wake up fully...it's like the heavy sleep feeling...i was surrounded by many people...i kept phasing in and out. Couldn't say proper words, without drifting unconscious again. Felt people lifting my hand and talking around me...

It seems that the same afternoon, my fever hit dangerous levels at that point and i was being monitored. Possible brain damage/ death if it didnt subside. =S

Well I'm here....so...but..the brain damage bit...hmmm...now..that explains some things..hahaha

5) I was not squirmish when young

I spent many primary school recess breaks catching grasshoppers and dragon flies with my bare hands in my school field with a friend. (with out harming them)...keep them in a jar/ plastic bags with holes and leaves for the rest of the day, before releasing them when i'm going home.

had to hide them under my desk..there was once, the grasshopper in my bag kept jumping...so almost got caught by the teacher, coz of the noise and that it fell on the floor...

I caught toads at East Coast Park too...learn from my dad...who would bring me...i enjoyed it...released on the same night. never brought home. =)
